SummaGraphics SummaSketch III Digitizer

Today I received quite the surprise package, a brand new vintage SummaGraphics SummaSketch III digitizing tablet. This SummaSketch digitizer, originally sold in the early 1990s, was packed in its original box. Peeking inside I was delighted to find all kinds of goodness.

Digitizing tablets like this SummaSketch III were made for 2D CAD productivity. Designers engineers could load commands into various regions of the tablet, place an iconified overlay over it, and be more productive with whatever engineering work they were doing.

Two of the important items I was not expecting to find were found packed inside the box. These two items are a sealed envelope containing the driver and software utilities, and a printed color overlay template that can be used with custom software to execute CAD commands in series. Other nice extras include a thick owner's manual, a warranty card, a packing list, and super menu install disks all in pristine condition.

The tablet hardware itself is in perfect condition and included not only the tablet and digitizing puck, but also all the cables and adapters needed to make it work.
